(50) The religious philosophy was formed in order to control and limit all the ills of the society, political devils and selfish rages. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars. (51) The religious philosophy was created for the welfare of the mankind. So, human beings should not sacrifice their lives for the sake of religion. It is an unforgivable sin to forget or renounce one's worldly life in the name of religion. (41) Temples, Prayers, Festivals, Religious Procedures, Rituals have been instituted to help mankind live with pleasure in this birth as well as in succeeding births without losing peace and happiness. But people out of madness waste their entire lives in researching whether these religious things are useful or not for them. The root, bark, leaves, flowers, of a tree may not be tasty. But the ripe fruits from the same tree is very tasty. Without understanding this, the mad man argues that tasteless root, bark, leaf, flower of the tree could never give tasty fruit. 11) There is no place for differences between the gods worshipped by human beings as Good and Bad. But there are two major categories of gods: One category of gods admonish and punish immediately. They are called as Arakka (அரக்கர்) type of gods; Another category of gods take time to find out the faults and correct their devotees after making them feel their mistakes. They are called as Irakka (இரக்கம்) type of gods. This categorisation is not due to the imagination of man.
