Kuruvaasagam - 50 to 59

(50) The religious philosophy was formed in order to control and limit all the ills of the society, political devils and selfish rages. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars.

(51) The religious philosophy was created for the welfare of the mankind. So, human beings should not sacrifice their lives for the sake of religion. It is an unforgivable sin to forget or renounce one's worldly life in the name of religion. Those who live by completely rejecting religion are much better than these people who reject worldly life in the name of religion. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars.

(52) He is the true follower of Siddha Philosophy who fully enjoys this earthly life beautified by light and sound. The Siddha Philosophy gives many different methods to enjoy this worldly life without troubling others or inviting covetousness from others. Sooner a bright future will come when the entire world will realize, accept, believe and use this great religious philosophy of the Siddhars. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars.

(53) Religious Philosophy never gives methods to make one live by threatening or using flattery or using tricks on others. So, no man is considered to be leading religious life if he or she leads a life without love or real benefit. The Siddha Philosophy only induces one to reprimand and punish such people. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars.

(54) The religious philosophy was created by the Pathinensiddhars only to prevent intelligent or powerful or capable person from enslaving or torturing or suppressing others. That is why, the human beings should realize that the strength and capability comes to a human being only by the Divine atoms. On realizing that nobody can get intelligence or strength or capability beyond these Divine atoms, one should lead a life with modestness, patience, humbleness, helping-nature. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars.

(55) God (Kadavul) is not the One that remains always bound to the Sanctum sanctorum of the temples; God (Theyvam) does not wake up only due to the bell sound made by the Priest; God (Aandavan) does not see the world only when the Gurukkal shows the light of the burning camphor; God (Thevar) does not feel the world only due to the fragrant smoke made by the Marulaali; God (Thevathai) does not sense the world only through the offerings given by the Pandaaram; God (Amarar) does not experience the world only through the musical voice of the Oathuvaar; ... Like this so many statements can be made to explain the divine world. Yet, the religious field gets corrupted like a septic wound because of the ignorance, idiotic tendencies, faithlessness and wrong habits of human beings. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars.

(56) Certain skilled persons and certain chemicals are needed to remove the stains in the dress; Like that certain Teachers and certain Philosophies are needed to remove stains in the heart of human beings. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars.

(57) The Siddha Philosophy gives the following Eighteen Divine rule Commands: 'Don't ever lie, Don't allow prostitution, Don't steal, Don't kill others, Don't cheat, Don't deceive, Don't allow cunningness, Don't destroy essential minerals, Don't support wrong-doers, Don't kill thankfulness, Don't ridicule, Don't attempt to take revenge, Don't suppress feelings, Don't hide facts, Don't forget forefathers, Don't avoid Elders, Don't separate the couples, Don't haress the supporters.' This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars. (These eighteen commands are the very significant philosophies of the Siddharism. The books titled ‘The Siddharism’, ‘The Discovery of God’, ‘The discoverers of God’, ‘The Divine World’, ‘The True Religion’, ... give many clear descriptions about these eighteen commands.)

(58) Every individual human being should maintain affection, simplicity, kindness, honesty, solidity, modesty, patience, humility and good motive in his or her speech. These ten qualities alone develop individual truthfulness. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars. (Pathinensiddhars have written clearly and exhaustively on ‘Individual conduct’, ‘Social Conduct’ and ‘Political Conduct’. The books titled as ‘The religious History of the Tamils’, ‘The Ancient Religion of this Universe’, ... give more detailed explanations on these.)

(59) Always we should aim to avoid war, quarrels, enemities, conflicts, competitions and jealousies in the name of Religion. This is because the Religion itself was founded only in order to establish in all directions Love, Softness, Unity, Attachment, Affection, Friendship, Relationship and Peacefulness. Functioning without understanding this is to be reprimanded. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars. (These eight are noted in the Gurupaarampariyam as the Core Values of Religion or the Essentials of Siddha Philosophy or Desire for Divinity, ... etc. In the books titled as ‘The Religion and the Science’, ‘The Religious Attitudes and the Rationalism’ ... explains these in detail.)
