Kuruvaasagam - 50 to 59

(50) The religious philosophy was formed in order to control and limit all the ills of the society, political devils and selfish rages. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars. (51) The religious philosophy was created for the welfare of the mankind. So, human beings should not sacrifice their lives for the sake of religion. It is an unforgivable sin to forget or renounce one's worldly life in the name of religion. Those who live by completely rejecting religion are much better than these people who reject worldly life in the name of religion. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars. (41) Temples, Prayers, Festivals, Religious Procedures, Rituals have been instituted to help mankind live with pleasure in this birth as well as in succeeding births without losing peace and happiness. But people out of madness waste their entire lives in researching whether these religious things are useful or not for them. The root, bark, leaves, flowers, of a tree may not be tasty. But the ripe fruits from the same tree is very tasty. Without understanding this, the mad man argues that tasteless root, bark, leaf, flower of the tree could never give tasty fruit. 33) Human beings are not like other living beings to lead lonely life. Human beings ought to lead social life by helping each other. So, every man or woman should act based on analysing which is good? which is bad? which benefits all? which gives problems to all? which strengthens all? which troubles individuals?... etc. It is good only when all human beings work co-operatively like this. Religion alone gives that unity directly to all without any twist. So, without religion neither individual life would be good nor the social life. Such people will acquire a higher status in which others worship them for ever. 11) There is no place for differences between the gods worshipped by human beings as Good and Bad. But there are two major categories of gods: One category of gods admonish and punish immediately. They are called as Arakka (அரக்கர்) type of gods; Another category of gods take time to find out the faults and correct their devotees after making them feel their mistakes. They are called as Irakka (இரக்கம்) type of gods. This categorisation is not due to the imagination of man. Tanjore Big Temple - Part 1

Siddhar Karuwooraar who built the Thanjavur Big Temple Of all the Temples of Indhu Religion, the Thanjavur Big Temple alone has the longest historical background in this Indian sub-continent.
