Kuruvaasagam Statements from 60 to 68

60. (i) Unchanging attachment, (ii) affection, (iii) obedience, (iv) faith towards one's Teacher along with (v) unification with the Teacher without any difference make the Disciples acquire the Divine Powers, Divine Achievements to become Immortal. Those Disciples who have shortfalls in the above-mentioned qualities will take many births further before achieving the birthless state. But they cannot get the Divine Powers and the Divine Achievements. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars.

[These Five qualities are given emphasis in Gurupaarampariyam and other books written by Siddhars as ‘Five Maturities’ or ‘Five Disciplines’.].

[Disciples: ‘Adiyaar’ - Those who renounced their family life after enjoying the family life sufficiently are called as Adiyaar by the Siddhars. ‘Adiyaan’ - Those who lead family life and those who are in childhood or unmarried are called as Adiyaan in the books written by the Siddhars.]

61. Those who receive the Teachings from the Teacher (Guru) by force or by deceptive means instead of waiting for the Teacher's blessings would suffer for many births. 64. Such disciples who get exhausted, tired, frightened and angered by the tests given by the Teacher would never get fulfillment in any birth. Because of that only one sees a growth in numbers of Beings getting worshipped as Village Deities, Damsels ... in the entrance to the water bodies, Town Squares, Village forums, Orchards, etc. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars.

67. Any ordinary human being who worships any attractive visual as God could gain divine powers, divine achievements and fulfilments depending on his or her maturity. This is the statement given by the Pathinensiddhars.
